PROJECT: FHI 360/USAID Youth Crime and Violence Prevention Interventions
CLIENT: Institute of Workforce Education and Development (IWED) https://manpowerja.com/services/iwed-institute-services/ Kingston, Jamaica PERIOD: 2021 - 2022 The Project which concluded in 2023, focused on skills training, employment program, and psychosocial interventions, specifically in relation to the CAC 2000 Foundation’s technical skills training and empowerment program. Through FHI 360’s Local Partner Development (LPD) Private Sector Partnerships Towards Youth Crime Prevention Program, the Institute of Workforce Education and Development (IWED) contracted my services to develop and deliver skills training for over 30+ at-risk youths from the Parish of St. James. In collaboration with the Client, IWED, a customized training program was developed to target areas such as, self-development, conflict resolution, budgeting, employment readiness and other areas to equip the participants with life and professional skills. Additionally, training facilitation was included in the service provision.
